Electrical Project Engineer - Ready to Step Up to Project Manager?

Based in London | EU Travel | Critical Power Systems Contractor | Growing Company

Are you an experienced Electrical Project Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Looking to break into Project Management and take ownership of high-profile projects across Europe?

We're working with a rapidly growing Critical Power Systems contractor based in London, delivering complex electrical packages across hyperscale data centres and mission-critical environments throughout the EU. They're now looking for a driven, commercially aware engineer who's ready to step into a full Project Manager role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key part of the project delivery team, you'll be responsible for managing 6-8 electrical projects simultaneously, valued between £300K - £1.5M, ensuring smooth delivery on-time, in-budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing site managers across multiple EU projects

  • Overseeing quality standards and client expectations on-site

  • Driving internal and external reporting processes

  • Creating and managing project programs, labour histograms, and reporting delays

  • Taking full ownership of health and safety, RAMS, and risk assessments

  • Managing costs, variations, and valuations

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients across all stages

  • Coordinating labour planning and monitoring installation progress

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering small-to-medium sized electrical projects (ideally £300K-£1.5M range)

  • Solid commercial acumen and understanding of project finance

  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Previous team leadership experience or site supervision background

  • Program-literate (labour loading, sequencing, reporting etc.)

  • Good knowledge of health & safety practices, RAMs, and quality assurance

  • Based within commutable distance to London

  • EU passport holder - essential for EU travel

It's a Bonus If You Have:

  • A background with a commissioning (Cx) contractor

  • Experience working across data centres or critical environments

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills

  • A forward-thinking mindset and appetite for career growth

This role is ideal for someone who wants to step up and take true ownership of projects from start to finish - with real mentorship and a clear progression route to Senior PM and beyond.
