About Us:
The client are an established engineering contractor working on large-scale data centre projects across Europe. With contracts held directly with two major end-clients, we sit above the general contractor, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards required by their clients. Our projects are at the cutting edge of data centre infrastructure, making this an exciting opportunity for an experienced MV Commissioning Engineer.

Role Overview:
As an MV Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of medium and low voltage systems across critical power installations. This role offers the chance to work on major data centre projects, ensuring the reliable delivery of power systems that form the backbone of digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, testing, and commissioning of MV/LV switchboards, transformers, busbars, and related systems.
  • Perform insulation resistance, flash, low ohms resistance, and secondary/primary injection tests.
  • Configure and commission protection relays and other control systems.
  • Operate and maintain Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), MCCBs, and Fused Isolators.
  • Interpret switching schedules and safety documentation, including permits to work and sanctions to test.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in HV/MV/LV/UPS/Generator systems.
  • Work independently to ensure systems are commissioned to meet the end-clients' standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience with MV and LV power systems, ideally up to 11kV/33kV.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage complex commissioning processes.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety protocols and safe isolation procedures.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and work away from home when required.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • CSCS Gold or Black card is preferred, but not essential.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to work on high-profile data centre projects across the UK, Central Europe, and Scandinavia.
  • A dynamic work environment where your skills are valued, and you have room to grow.
  • Exposure to the latest technologies in power systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Competitive salary and travel allowances.

If you're ready to take on new challenges in the data centre sector and have a passion for ensuring power systems run smoothly, apply now to join their team.
